The electrons circle the nucleas.

protons
the protons are the same size as the meutrons.		 neutrons
the neutrons are the same size as the protons.		 electrons
the electron is 1/2000 the size of a proton or a neutron.
It has a positive charge and
is located in the nucleus.
The Neutron has no charge and is also located in the nucleus.
The electron has a negative charge and is located in the electron cloud.

The atoms also have layers that contain different numbers of electronsthe first layer contains 2 electrons. the second contains 8. the third layer contains 18 electrons
